  • Gary Pilant
    Gary Pilant

    Senior Vice President &
    Chief Lending Officer

    Gary began his banking career at Community Bank & Trust in 2007 after graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance. He worked as a Credit Analyst for five years prior to joining the Lending Team in 2012. Gary currently serves as a Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He is a graduate of Leadership Waco Class XXXII and SMU's Southwestern Graduate School of Banking Class LX. Gary is a past board member of CASA of McLennan and Hill Counties and currently serves on the Community Healthcare of Texas/Providence Hospice Advisory Council. He and his wife Christie enjoy traveling and spending time with their two children, Sophia and Ethan.

    Steve Bearden

    Senior Vice President

    Steve joined CB&T in 1970. He moved his way up from Assistant Cashier to Vice President in the Lending Department in 1986, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1994. Steve served as Director of NeighborWorks Waco, a non-profit home ownership business, for four years, and he is an avid outdoorsman and wildlife enthusiast.

    Ben spent six years practicing law in Dallas and Waco prior to beginning work as a commercial loan officer at Community Bank & Trust in 2007. He attended Washington & Lee University and then graduated from SMU School of Law in 2001. He currently works in the commercial lending department of CB&T at 1900 Washington Avenue. He serves on the boards of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the Waco Industrial Foundation, Waco Family Medicine Foundation, and City Center Waco. He and his wife Noell have two children who attend school in Waco and a daughter who is attending University of Texas at Austin. They enjoy spending time at their farm, visiting family, and traveling together.

    Branch Manager - Chapel Road

    Carol has spent her entire career with Community Bank & Trust working in various roles within the bank before settling into the loan area. She is a graduate of Baylor University where she earned a BBA in Finance. Carol is a past board member of the Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library and a 2007 graduate of Leadership Waco. She and her husband Randy enjoy traveling, antiquing, and spending time with family.

    Branch Manager - Wooded Acres

    Jacob grew up in Waco and is a proud graduate of Waco High School. While attending McLennan Community College, he began his banking career with CB&T in 2007 as a teller. Jacob graduated from Tarleton State University while working as a Credit Analyst, before being promoted to a banking officer in CB&T's Lending Department. Jacob now works as Vice President and Branch Manager of our Wooded Acres location. Jacob enjoys giving back and has participated in many different organizations in Waco including graduating from Leadership Waco, being the past president and current member of the Northwest Optimist Club of Waco, mentoring as Alta Vista Elementary School and volunteering with financial literacy classes at Waco High School. Jacob also loves being involved with youth sports and has helped as a coach at Lake Air Little League and Woodway Family Center.  He and his wife Anne have two young children. As a family, they enjoy spending time together going to the park or watching movies.

  • Perry Felton
    Perry Felton

    Vice President

    Perry is a native of McLennan County where he grew up working on his family's ranching operations east of Waco. He is a graduate of Mart High School and earned his degree in Agri-Business from Sam Houston State University. Perry spent 12 years working in the Commercial/Industrial HVAC industry in the Houston area before moving back home to Waco in 2006 to begin a career in finance with FirstCity Financial Corporation. While at FirstCity, he gained valuable experience in managing and dispositioning a wide variety of distressed loan assets. He has since worked in more traditional banking roles at other institutions, before joining the team at CB&T in 2018, specializing in business lending. Perry is involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations including Lake Air Little League, Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, Baylor/Waco Foundation and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys spending his time away from the office with his family, as well as being in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, or coaching Little League baseball.

    Salvador Antonio

    Assistant Vice President

    Salvador started his banking career at Community Bank & Trust in 2014. As the first in his family to attend college, he graduated from McLennan Community College with an AAS in Accounting. He later transferred to the University of Texas in Arlington, where he graduated in 2013 with a BBA in Management. Salvador and his wife Maria are members of the St. Francis Catholic Church, where they were married in 2008. They have two daughters, Zitlaly and Lesly. As a family they enjoy spending time with each other, going to the movies, and playing sports.

    Steve spent five years working in Florida for Walt Disney World before Texas called him back home. He was raised in Waco and is always quick to note how proud he is to call himself a Wacoan. Steve is a graduate of Texas Tech University and has been in banking for over nine years. Jill, his wife; and Elena, their daughter, are the loves of his life. Jill is a teacher for Midway ISD and Elena is currently in elementary school. He loves Central Texas and is ready to service your lending needs today.

    Codi Horacek

    Codi joined Community Bank & Trust in January of 2015 as a Credit Analyst. She was promoted to Banking Officer in September of 2022. Prior to Community Bank she worked as a Teller for a local financial institution for two and a half years. Codi is a graduate of Midway High School Class of 2010. She graduated from Tarleton State University with her Bachelors in Accounting in August of 2016. Codi and her husband Devon attend Top Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills, TX where Codi has been a member of the Stewardship Team for three years and recently started a young adults bible study group in her home. Devon and Codi enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing fetch with their two dogs, and traveling.

    Brandon joined Community Bank & Trust in 2015. He is a graduate of Baylor University, with BA degrees in political science and history. He previously worked in the City of Waco Mayor's Office, and in the non-profit sector. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys watching sports and spending time outdoors with his wife Rebecca and their dog Tyson.

    Daniel Muniz

    Banking Officer

    Daniel joined Community Bank & Trust in 2016. Originally from Austin, Texas, he moved to Waco to attend Baylor University. He is a proud graduate of Baylor with BBA degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Daniel currently serves on the board for the Waco Center for Youth Volunteer Services Council and the Waco Young Professionals. He will be a graduate of Leadership Waco Class XXXVIII. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys being active outdoors and traveling.
