It's Simple!

It's simple to use your phone to pay with your CB&T debit card! Simply load your CB&T debit card to your Apple device and it's ready to use at thousands of merchants in person or online with just verification using Face ID or a PIN number.

With more and more merchants accepting mobile payments everyday, you can use Apple Pay at retailers all over the country, and at thousands of online merchants as well when you're shopping online on your device!

Ready to get started with Apple Pay?

On your Apple device, go to the Apple Wallet and click the plus sign in the top right corner to add a new "Debit or Credit Card." Follow the on-screen prompts to get your card set up with Apple Pay. You will be prompted for a one-time entry of a few account details such as name, address, card number, expiration date, and the three digit card verification code that can be found on the back of your card. Community Bank & Trust, Mastercard and Apple will then work behind the scenes to create a digital version of your account and enable you to start making payments with Apple Pay. 

 

  • Where is Apple Pay accepted?

    You can use Apple Pay in thousands of merchants nationwide, within various apps, and at thousands of online merchants when shopping online with your Apple Device.

    In stores, use Apple Pay wherever you see one of these symbols:

  • Is Apple Pay safe to use?

    Yes! In fact, using your CB&T debit card through Apple Pay is actually more safe than using your physical card. By using a digital account number, you no longer need to share your personal account information when you shop, which reduces the threat of your sensitive data being stored or compromised, because only the digital account number is passed on and your payment details are never actually shared with a merchant. In addition, if your device is ever lost or stolen, you will not need to cancel your underlying card, only the digital account number which can be quickly reissued. 

  • What is a digital account number?

    Your payment card information, such as the 16-digit account number found on the front of the card, will be replaced with a digital account number that can be securely stored on Apple devices and used to make purchases. Your debit card number is NOT stored on the device, or on Apple servers. This helps to reduce the potential for fraud.

    The process is invisible to customers and happens behind the scenes. It also helps to simplify checkout by eliminating the need to enter and re-enter your account number when buying items in mobile applications "in-app" or at the point-of-sale.

  • Can I remove my digital account number stored on my apple device?

    Yes, you are able to easily delete the account from your device. If you delete your digital account you will still be able to make purchases with your physical payment card. 

  • What if my Apple Device is lost or stolen?

    If your Apple device is lost or stolen, use "Find My Apple Device" to quickly suspend or remove your digital account numbers for the respective device. You may also contact Community Bank & Trust who can perform the same action on your debit card. Once you receive your new device simply, add cards to your wallet. In the meantime, you can continue to use your physical card without interruption.
